# System No. 13 SZ-CV-ER (Single Zone CAV Electric)

A Single Zone Constant Air Volume Electric Reheat (SZ-CV-ER) system, as defined in EnergyPlus HVACTemplate, is a climate control system commonly used in commercial buildings serving a single thermal zone. It consists of a central air handling unit (AHU) that supplies a constant volume of conditioned air through ductwork to a single zone.

The central AHU includes cooling coils (typically chilled water or direct expansion), electric resistance heating coils, filters, and constant speed fans to condition and distribute air. The system maintains a steady airflow rate while modulating the electric heating to meet the zone's heating requirements. The system draws outdoor air for ventilation through the central AHU, and fans distribute the conditioned air throughout the space, ensuring effective temperature control and consistent air circulation.

This configuration is particularly suitable for applications where a single zone requires reliable climate control with simple electric heating.

A Single Zone CAV Electric Reheat system comprises one Space HVAC component per selected Space, with no separate central Plant HVAC component required due to the use of electric resistance heating.

* Plant HVAC component - Condenser Water Loop, Chilled Water Loop and Air Handling Unit
* Space HVAC component - Air Terminal

The 'Select HVAC Template' form allows for multiple Spaces to be served. Clicking into the 'Spaces' field shows a list of available Spaces. Each selected Space will have one Single Zone CAV Unit with Electric Reheat Space HVAC component, providing dedicated constant air volume climate control for that zone.
